I’m not very smart about posts and sites or computers in general — but one of you must be, so don’t we need to contact someone about her going missing? Who and how, I have no idea. Anyone out there up for this?

I’ve tried going to the different sites she subscribes to (i.e. Technorati, etc.) and seeing if she happened to list a city on any of them, but no luck yet. Hopefully someone else is better at it that me and can find her!

I have tried to contact wordpress, as well as lara, the designer of the site, and LJ has been emailed. After scanning the blog I get her general area, however no search is coming up with her name. I will persist.

You should be able to check the whois for her domain to find her old info before she moved at least.. I would hate to invade anyone’s privacy if she’s just taking a break or lost computer access.. but it is a bit concerning when someone just “disappears” with no hints that they may on the verge of quitting blogging…

Okay, I have the info. I need, and I have a few possible phone numbers and addresses. I haven’t found anything out of the ordinary (like an obituary, accident, etc.)
While I really want to make sure she is okay, I also want to respect her privacy. (i.e. — incase she doesn’t “want to be found”, has deserted her blog, etc.)
So I am wondering what to do from here. I was thinking of just mailing a little letter telling her that we are all concerned and to please let us know she is okay…but what do y’all think??? I really don’t want to bother her if she is just busy elsewhere.

Amanda, I think that’s a great idea. Just tell her we were all so worried and that we miss her and her posts. Maybe she could just post that she’s not going to do it anymore or whatever is going on with her. A letter is the best idea and I want to thank you for being so smart as to find all this out.

I hope you can find out something Amanda. It just seems so strange that she has just disappeared. I keep thinking that maybe her computer died and she just hasn’t had the money or time to replace it.
