Kyle’s Coupons Feature #1

First of all, I want to thank LJ for giving me the opportunity to write a regular ‘online coupon’ feature on her blog. Very exciting! A little about me, my name is Kyle James, I live in northern California with my wife and 3 young kids. I own and operate a website called Rather-Be-Shopping.com which specializes in online coupons for over 500 stores, organized in 23 shopping categories. I also have a blog (Home) (RSS Feed), where I talk about frugal living, online coupons, and other musings about family and life in general.
So now that the preliminaries are out of the way, let’s talk shoes. Lots of shoes. Here is the thing, I’m afraid my daughter, who is 3 years old, has the Imelda Marcos syndrome. You can’t walk around my house without tripping on a pair of pink ‘Dora The Explorer’ sneakers, or purple cowboy boots. She loves shoes, it does not matter what size or color, she can’t get enough.
Part of the problem is that her Grandma loves to shop at Ross and Marshalls and stocks her up. As in buys her shoes that are 3 sizes too big because they are on sale, and she justifies this by telling my wife and I, “she will grow into them, and it was such a great deal!” But Grandma does not have to store them, or trip over them, but that is a different post for a different day.
I must say though, discount stores like Ross and Marshalls are great places to buy footwear, you can get quality name brands at up to 50% off the retail price. For online deals on shoes, my wife likes Payless Shoes, Zappos, and Famous Footwear not only for good bargains for our kids, but also for herself. I love Shoebuy.com (which you mentioned) because they offer 110% competitor price matching, free shipping, and free returns (since it’s not always easy buying shoes online!).
